Dr. Stefany Neves

Dr. Stefany Neves began her post-secondary academic journey at York University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology with specialized honours. After graduating, she continued her education and passion for health at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, CMCC. During those four years of study, Dr. Stefany became certified in contemporary medical acupuncture from McMaster University and certified in the Webster technique with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She graduated from CMCC with Cum Laude distinction.

 

Dr. Stefany practices an evidence-based model of care. She works to create a custom treatment plan for every patient, providing individualized plans to treat each person’s condition, needs, and functional abilities. Dr. Stefany’s treatment plans include a combination of manual chiropractic adjustment, mobilization, myofascial release, contemporary medical acupuncture, active rehabilitation, and patient education. Dr. Stefany‘s commitment to her patients and lifelong learning has helped numerous people achieve independence and empower them to modify their lifestyle to maximize their health and performance. 

 

For Dr. Stefany, family is just as important as chiropractic. Born to loving Portuguese immigrants, she was raised to be both strong and empathetic. Dr. Stefany is able provide her patients with care in Portuguese as well.  She is thrilled to move to the Wasaga Beach area from Toronto with her husband. They are both excited to contribute to the community and to take part in the abundant recreational activities Wasaga Beach has to offer. Dr. Stefany enjoys hiking and wants get into kayaking and skiing.

Dr. Marco Aldrovandi

Dr. Marco Aldrovandi spent his entire childhood growing up in Richmond Hill, Ontario with his close-knit community of friends and family. Following high school, he accepted an offer from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. During this period, he would go on to be part of the University Rowing Team, spend a year studying in Italian at the University of Bologna (Italy) and discover his passion for the outdoors.

 

The year following university Dr. Marco spent taking care of his ailing grandparents who inspired his career change to Chiropractic. His passion for taking care of others led him to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where he spent four more years of education discovering how Chiropractic care could help guide the way to a healthier community.

 

Dr. Marco has taken additional education in Smart Tools Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue technique and nutrition. His approach to patient care is research based and aims to help individuals of all ages achieve their health goals in a proactive and progressive way. The way to a long, healthy and mobile life starts with the small everyday changes that Dr. Marco will help inspire you to follow.

Naturopathy

Naturopathic medicine is a form of primary health care that addresses the root cause of illness, promotes health, and encourages the body to heal using natural therapies. Naturopathy addressed acute and chronic conditions while emphasizing disease prevention.

Dr. Felicia Carpino

Dr. Felicia is a Naturopathic Doctor and Doula. She is a member in good standing of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO), the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). She obtained her Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree from Brock University, where she completed a double major in Biology and Health Sciences, as well as a double minor in Mathematics and Physics. She then went on to graduate from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine with her doctorate.

 

Throughout her undergraduate education, Felicia was an elite member of the MedPlus Program and during her naturopathic medical internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic in Toronto, she was selected to be a part of the Sports Medicine Focus Shift. This opportunity allowed her to build her knowledge in the physical modalities that naturopathic medicine has to offer, including acupuncture, cupping, trigger point release techniques and topical botanical remedies. Felicia has a special interest in many areas of health, including women’s health, fertility, skin care, mental health, pain management and digestive concerns. She also has a key interest in Doula services and has attended several births to support mother, baby and family through this memorable experience. She prides herself on her individualized approach and understands that everyone is unique, which allows her to tailor her treatment plans to her patients’ personal requirements.

 

In her spare time, Felicia loves being with her Malshi puppy, Kalamata, or spending quality time with her family. Crocheting, puzzling, reading self-development books, exercising and cooking are a few of her favourite hobbies. She also enjoys spending time in nature and travelling to new places around the world. She is a fully self-taught musician and performer, playing vocals, guitar and piano. Overall, Dr. Felicia loves to exercise both her creative and scientific part of the brain, which allows her passions to shine through.

Dr. Zack De Rose

Dr. Zack is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, a member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND), and the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO). He has a Bachelor of Arts and Science from the University of Guelph where he graduated with honours and spent his time studying biological and nutritional sciences, as well as musical performance and history.

 

During his time in Naturopathic college, Zack was an executive member of the pediatrics club, where he ran workshops, created learning content, and engaged in research with his peers. During his Naturopathic Medical internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic clinic in Toronto, Zack was selected to be on the pediatrics focus shift where he was able to gain experience with babies, children, and youth, treating conditions such as eczema, ADHD, ODD, autism, depression and anxiety, weight loss and more.

 

As a naturopathic medical practitioner, Dr. Zack helps his patients achieve their health goals by sharing his knowledge of the fundamentals of health, which include sleep, nutrition, and exercise, and by utilising naturopathic treatment modalities such as, acupuncture and cupping, nutraceutical/supplement prescription, and botanical medicine. Zack is passionate about empowering his patients with the knowledge to advocate for themselves throughout their healthcare journey and the motivation and confidence to take charge of their own health.

 

Dr. Zack spends his free time cooking healthy meals, crocheting, playing guitar and bass, lifting weights, playing sports and board games with friends, and reading and researching the health and wellness topics that he is passionate about, as well as those that are relevant to his patient’s needs.

Registered Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is the hands-on care of the soft tissues of the body (such as muscles, ligaments & tendons) and has a therapeutic effect that optimizes health and well-being by influencing the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. General daily function can be developed, maintained and improved.

Amber Northey

Amber Northey was born and raised right here in Wasaga Beach. After graduating from Collingwood Collegiate Institute, Amber decided to pursue massage therapy at Georgian College.

 

During her education at Georgian College, she worked with the elderly population in long term care facilities, high level athletes recovering from injuries, pain associated with pregnancy, infant massage and fibromyalgia relief.

 

Amber also has a certification in fascial movement taping. Fascial movement taping is a technique used for relief of symptoms for tendinopathies, strains, sprains, postural corrections, and pain associated with pregnancy.

 

Following graduation, Amber knew she wanted to return to where she was raised and continued her career back in Wasaga Beach!

Mental Health Support

From individuals and families to organizations and communities, social workers collaborate with their clients to address challenges through a process of assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation. Some examples of conditions treated are post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, affect disorders, and borderline personality disorder. 

Registered Social Worker

Christa Folz

Christa has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Windsor University and a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. She is a registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers with over 25 years of experience in supporting children, youth and their caregivers through trauma and mental health challenges. She has had the privilege to work with many families across York and Peel in community non-profit organizations before settling down in the Simcoe region. Her primary modality is in attachment and play-led therapy and is also certified/or trained in MST, Trauma-Focused CBT, SFT, Mindfulness, EMDR, Yoga Therapy and in different parenting and energetic modalities. She provides both in-person and virtual services in the Wasaga Beach, Collingwood and Barrie areas.
